What to do - Visitors Book

Westcourt Farm used to be a working farm but we now have paddocks for visiting animals, and wildflower fields. We maintain walking paths around our land for public use. We have geese and a small dog.

We have an outdoor-heated swimming pool which guests are welcome to use during the summer, at a convenient time. We can advise on walks and bike rides.

Nearby there is the Kennet and Avon canal with a good tow-path for walking with a popular stopping place at Great Bedwyn.

Three miles away is Savernake Forest.  It has numerous routes for cars and is open to the public for walking.

The Shalbourne Gliding Club (Shalbournegliding club) is within a mile up on Rivar Down, which has good walks to the famous Combe Gibbet where paragliding also takes place.

The village has a new constructed playground and a 13th century church. The pub (The Plough) and the village shop (Shalbourne Stores) are a very short walk away.

There are a variety of eating places locally including friendly pubs, Indian, Thai and Italian. Vines have been planted for a new large winery which is under construction.
